Colorado pedestrian killed in car accident

Pedestrians are often at risk for being involved in an accident, especially when they are among motorists on busy roads. A pedestrian accident recently occurred that resulted in death. The auto accident occurred on the highway, killing the pedestrian at the scene. The accident is still being investigated by Colorado authorities.According to reports, the driver of a semi-truck was traveling on the highway with two trailers attached. A pedestrian that was walking along the southbound lane was hit by the semi-truck. The pedestrian did not survive the collision and was deceased at the scene. The driver of the semi did not sustain any injuries. Authorities do not believe that speed or alcohol played a role in the incident.Reportedly, officials are still working on the investigation of the deadly accident. It is not known if the driver of the semi-truck is expected to be issued charges in this matter. Authorities are asking for the public's help with any information concerning this crash.

A car accident can be burdensome when someone has been injured. It is even more burdensome when a pedestrian is struck by a vehicle and killed. Depending on the outcome of this continuing investigation, the surviving family members of the deceased pedestrian may have the right to file a wrongful death claim against the driver of the semi-truck. If the civil court system in Colorado finds that evidence deems the semi truck's driver liable for the crash, the family members may be awarded the financial relief they need as they grieve their loss.
