Colorado auto accident involving out of control semi

| Oct 22, 2013 | Uncategorized |

An out of control semi-truck is said to be the cause of a 13-vehicle wreck. Four people have suffered injury due to the auto accident. At last report, Colorado authorities are still investigating this bizarre crash. Officers have determined that the Monday afternoon pile up was started when the driver of a company owned semi-truck ran through a traffic light. The semi smashed into a group of cars that were waiting at an intersection for the green light. The impact did not stop the semi and the vehicle continued until shortly after crashing into a pole. Emergency workers responded to the scene and found that four people were injured. They were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. One witness illustrated the incident as one out of a movie. The road was closed down for hours while officials conducted their investigation. As part of the investigation, officials are working to determine if the driver of the semi was in the middle of a medical episode at the time of the crash.

Victims of an auto accident usually risk severe harm when confronted with a collision with a semi-truck. The four victims who have suffered serious injuries in the truck accident retain the right to pursue personal injury lawsuits against the truck’s driver or the company that owns the vehicle. Under Colorado law, the victims may be entitled to receive compensation for their injuries and damages incurred as a result of the accident if it is determined that the truck driver operated in a negligent manner that led to the injuries.
